What Can The Beat Goes on do for you?

Playing drums and percussion improves muscle coordination and brain activity. It does wonders for physical therapy and stress relief, and it strengthens our well being, self-esteem and self-discipline. Most of all, it’s fun!

The Beat Goes On does not take a lot of time or practice. It is simply an informal gathering of those interested in communicating through the rhythm of the drum. Our goal is to engage people through our music, and their participation.

The group will improvise as members develop their skills and create songs and rhythms making beautiful music together for a healthier and stronger community. Drumming provides a positive bonding group experience, which produces a supportive, more relaxed atmosphere.

After participating in a drum circle, people feel rejuvenated, energized and empowered. Recent clinical research has demonstrated that group drumming has had positive effects on patients with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, as well as other degenerative conditions.
